Ensure Optimal Learning Process, FISIP UNRI Leadership Monitors the First Day of Odd-Semester Lectures

Pekanbaru, August 4, 2025 — To mark the beginning of the Odd Semester for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Riau (UNRI) conducted direct Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) across several classrooms. This initiative reflects the faculty’s commitment to ensuring that all academic aspects run optimally from the very first day of lectures.

The monitoring team consisted of faculty leadership and structural officials of FISIP, including the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.Si., Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of Administration Susi Heptariani, SE.Ak., M.Ak., Academic Sub-Coordinator Muhammad Arsyad, S.Kom., M.Si., General Affairs and Academic Facilities Sub-Coordinator Rudiman, S.Sos., and Student Affairs Sub-Coordinator Shaffia Mia Friana, S.Kom.. The team visited several classes to ensure lecturer and student attendance, facility readiness, and the smooth running of learning activities according to schedule.

The Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized that the monitoring activity is part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to maintain academic quality. “The first day of lectures reflects our commitment to a high-quality learning process. Through this monitoring, we ensure that every element is prepared to carry out its responsibilities professionally,” said Dr. Meyzi.

Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, also highlighted the importance of discipline from the start of the semester. “The consistency of lecturers’ presence and student participation on the first day greatly influences the continuity of the academic process moving forward,” he stated. Meanwhile, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, appreciated the readiness shown by all academic staff. “We observed a positive spirit among students as well as the preparedness of lecturers and administrative personnel. This is a promising start for the semester,” she added.

Through this initial lecture monitoring activity, FISIP UNRI reaffirms its commitment to building a learning environment that is orderly, professional, and conducive. The faculty hopes that the Odd Semester 2025/2026 will run smoothly and support the academic success of the entire academic community.
