Pekanbaru, August 28, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), held a Workshop on Website and Social Media Content Management for Study Programs at the Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Dean Building. The event was attended by the Head of Administration, Sub-Coordinators across FISIP, as well as all website and social media managers from each department and study program. Their participation reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the quality of the faculty’s public information services.

The workshop was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., who emphasized that digital channel management is an essential component of professional academic services. He stated that websites and social media serve as the first point of contact for the public, making accurate, standardized, and consistently updated content crucial. According to him, effective digital management will assist students and prospective students while also enhancing FISIP UNRI’s reputation at the national level.
Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., highlighted the importance of managerial support to ensure continuity in content updates. She explained that providing adequate facilities, organizing workflow, and strengthening coordination among administrators are key factors in maintaining effective digital channel management. Dr. Mayarni expressed hope that every unit will uphold transparency and accountability through regularly scheduled and consistent content updates.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm shown by the website and social media managers. He stressed that each study program needs to have a clear editorial plan, including the type of content to be uploaded, publication schedules, and responsible personnel. With structured planning, FISIP’s public information services are expected to become more robust and better reflect the academic productivity of the faculty as a whole.
Serving as the main speaker, Dr. Fajriani Ananda, S.Sos., M.Si.—Head of FISIP Public Relations and Chair of FISIP PPID—presented guidelines on content standards, institutional language style, and compliance with public information disclosure principles. She underscored the importance of consistent visual identity and communication style across all FISIP digital platforms. In her presentation, she introduced a technical checklist covering website page structure, image management and alt text, document archiving, and the workflow for submitting news items. These guidelines are intended to help administrators in departments and study programs work more efficiently, neatly, and in accordance with PPID standards.
This workshop continues FISIP UNRI’s initiative to activate and harmonize websites and social media platforms across departments and study programs. Through technical guidance and content standardization, the faculty aims to produce information channels that are more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of academic, student, and institutional achievements. The activity marks a concrete step by FISIP UNRI in strengthening its digital presence in an increasingly competitive information landscape.
