Pekanbaru, August 27, 2025 – The Communication Science Student Association (HIMAKOM) of Universitas Riau, through Academic Division, successfully organized a Book Fair and Book Review event on campus. The program served as a literacy platform for students and received enthusiastic participation.
The Book Fair, held on Wednesday (August 27), recorded a total of 109 attendees. During the event, the Academic Division provided 230 book titles across various genres, ranging from fiction and non-fiction to academic literature. Meanwhile, the Book Review session was attended by 22 participants and featured Pramudia Pangestu, a Communication Science alumnus, as the discussion initiator. The reviewed book, “Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati” (A Portion of Chicken Noodles Before Dying), sparked diverse perspectives and appreciations among the participants.
Through this initiative, HIMAKOM Universitas Riau hopes to foster a strong reading culture and broaden students’ horizons.
