Surabaya, May 11, 2026 — The Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau, conducted a visit to the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, for the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) Program as well as the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA).
The activity was led by the Head of the Department of Communication Science, FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Rumyeni, S.Sos., M.Sc., and was warmly welcomed by the Coordinator of the Communication Science Study Program at UNESA, Dr. Anam Miftakhul Huda. The meeting was conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere through discussions regarding the implementation of the PMM program, the strengthening of academic cooperation, and the development of inter-institutional collaboration.
In this year’s PMM program, three students from the Department of Communication Science at Universitas Riau had the opportunity to participate in the student exchange program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The program serves as part of efforts to enhance students’ learning experiences through academic interaction across universities.
In addition to the monitoring and evaluation agenda, the signing of the Implementation Agreement (IA) also became a strategic step in strengthening institutional cooperation between the Department of Communication Science of Universitas Riau and the Communication Science Study Program of UNESA. This agreement is expected to support the implementation of various future academic activities.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the collaborative relationship between the two institutions will continue to grow sustainably in supporting innovative and adaptive academic collaboration in response to developments in higher education.
