Pekanbaru, Friday, May 16, 2025 — A proud achievement comes from the Communication Science Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau. Based on the decision of Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT), the communication science department has officially earned "Excellent" Accreditation, the highest level of accreditation in Indonesia’s higher education quality assurance system.
This accomplishment is stated in BAN-PT Decree No. 6495/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/V/2025, effective from May 14, 2025, to November 6, 2029. The "Excellent" status affirms that the department has fulfilled various assessment criteria comprehensively, including institutional governance, learning processes, resources, and outcomes in the three pillars of higher education (education, research, and community service).
This success is the result of the collective effort of the entire academic community, particularly Instrumen Suplemen Konversi (ISK) Team, who meticulously prepared the required documents based on accurate data and strategic planning.
Achieving the "Excellent" accreditation strengthens the Communication Science Department's position as a leading academic program in its field. It also serves as motivation to continuously enhance academic quality and expand scholarly contributions both nationally and internationally.
