Pekanbaru, 12 September 2025, The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), welcomed the Campus Unlock program initiated by SMA Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru. The event was held in conjunction with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement and Implementation Agreement between FISIP UNRI and SMA Islam As-Shofa.
The event was attended by the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., and Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si. Also present were Department Heads, Study Program Coordinators, and working group leaders within FISIP UNRI. From the school, the Principal of SMA Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru, Rahma Maidianti, M.Si., attended along with accompanying teachers.
In his remarks, Dr. Meyzi expressed his appreciation for the successful implementation of the program. He emphasized that FISIP UNRI warmly welcomes the Campus Unlock initiative as a platform for students to get to know the university environment more closely and to gain inspiration in planning their future academic paths.
Rahma Maidianti, M.Si., Principal of SMA Islam As-Shofa, highlighted the importance of collaboration between schools and universities. She explained that Campus Unlock was designed to broaden students’ perspectives on university life and academic culture, and that FISIP UNRI’s involvement provides added value for students seeking to understand the dynamics of higher education and future opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., reported that the Campus Unlock program will run for five full days and involve selected students from SMA Islam As-Shofa. Throughout the program, students follow a full-day academic schedule—from 08.00 to 16.00—allowing them to directly experience the atmosphere of university learning and gain exposure to academic routines.
Campus Unlock is an initiative of SMA Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru aimed at introducing students to the university environment, academic processes, and early motivation-building for future study and career decisions.
The event also featured the signing of the Cooperation Agreement and Implementation Agreement by both institutions as a commitment to supporting quality education and strengthening academic networks. Both parties exchanged souvenirs as a symbol of appreciation and institutional partnership.
The program concluded with a group photo session involving FISIP UNRI leadership, representatives from SMA Islam As-Shofa, accompanying teachers, and participating students—a moment that underscored the spirit of collaboration shared by both institutions.
